Potential Stories:
- The university library was just updated with a system that can allow students to input questions that could either be answered instantly from the system's growing pool of FAQ's or answered quickly by actual library staff and replied to them via phone, email, SMS, or Twitter. It was part of a software package bought off from a software developing company. The system was implemented just a few weeks ago during August, and had just gone live.
- There's a portion of the library that is yellow taped due to a future installation of a the library's first ever color printer on the first floor. This has been a long awaited feature for some library staff, and will prove useful for students who want to make color copies of work on art books without having to check them out and take them to the campus copy center or elsewhere. It is replacing space once used by bestseller books, but a librarian says that there is plenty more room for that on the first floor.
- The Children's Literature room sometimes invites authors to come visit on campus.
- There's a holocaust exhibit prominently displayed in the third floor, near Special Collections.
